It only happens at this time of year
When everyone is filled with love and cheer
'Cause that's what matters
Lately, my world has been filled with nothing but writing. No, I'm not complaining. I'm super happy that I'm finally done with the screenplay for my independent study. It was a tough script to write and I'm not too sure I'm happy with the ending, but eventually I'll come back to it and revise it to my liking. I was up until around 8am finishing it the other night/morning, so I definitely put in work to finish the draft. It'll be nice to get a break from it though. Now I can finally finish up stuff for my portfolio in my fiction class.
Another thing I've been doing is reading a lot of screenplays. Most recently I've read: Precious, It's Complicated and The Blind Side. I'm trying to decide between An Education, Up in the Air, A Single Man and Sin Nombre. I probably won't read A Single Man right away. I've only seen the preview and it didn't really make me want to see it, so I'm in no hurry. It looked like the kind of preview that producers whip together when the movie isn't actually all that great.
The last movie I watched was Shrink. It stars Kevin Spacey as a therapist to the stars whose wife just recently died. He's trying to help his really eccentric patients, while he's barely functioning. The movie has a real Crash feeling to it. The lives of random people intersect in different ways. It's not as heavy as Crash. I enjoyed it, though. I've watched it twice already.
So, just a week until I'm done with Linfield! Crazy how fast this semester has gone. I've applied for a couple of jobs, I hope to hear back from at least one of them soon, we'll see. Fingers crossed.
Other than writing, reading and watching movies. I've been listening to Christmas music!
I guess I don't really have too much to talk about. The main thoughts on my brain last week were:
-It's cold
-I have to pack
-I don't want to pack
-That screenplay
-I hate the cold
-Directing scenes
-Getting a job
-Thank you cards
-Being a stand-up comedian
-Oh, and, it's cold and I hate it
But yeah, that's that.
Oh, except for this commercial. I laugh every time it comes on.
Haha, good stuff.

Do the Ice Cream and Cake!
You cannot tell me that commercial doesn't make you want to dance. I've seen it many times and I can't sit through it without some sort of movement.
Sorry for the last one, it was the best one I could find.
It upsets me that I see these Sonic advertisments and I have no clue where one is in Oregon or Washington :/

Like a Wannabe Frat Boy Tryna Get Down
The newest freecreditreport.com commercial. It's catchy, as usual.
And here's a random Trojan commercial that I saw today. It made me chuckle.

The King is Creepy
I find this pretty hilarious. Apparently there's some controversy around it...parents find it inappropriate for kids. But, have they ever watched an episode of Spongebob? That whole show is pretty inappropriate for kids. I mean, they live in BIKINI BOTTOM and I'm still certain that The Krusty Krab is some sort of STD reference. I love the show though.

I Woke Up And Found You Creepin'...Tip-Toe, Tip
Sometimes, McDonald's will get a cute little kid to dip their nuggets to 'The Cha-Cha Slide'. And then, other times, they do that.

Raisin Bran Crunch? More Like, Amazin Bran Crunch!
Two pretty funny commercials. You got to love advice as simple as 'Use Condoms.'
'BUY ME SOME, MOM!'
Halarious.

Come On Everybody, Grab Your Bike and Sing Along
This one is funny. It's the newest in the Free Credit Report commericals.
This one isn't as catchy as the one about the used subcompact, but I still like it.
The others, for your enjoyment:
You gotta love these ads. I heard http://www.freecreditreport.com/ isn't that great though, because they charge you hella for enrollment in Triple Advantage, or something like that. I'm' not saying don't use it, if you need it. I'm just saying don't let the jingle distract you from listening to their warning at the end.

One
So, I'm not particularly fond of this commercial. I just decided that other people need to see how creepy this is. Though it is for a good cause.

When I Say 'Hillshire' You Say 'Farm'
There's not really all that much explaining needed here. This is just an awesome commercial.
Go meat!

Double Your Pleasure
When I first heard the lyrics 'Double your pleasure/double your fun' in Chris Brown's new single, I immediately finished it with "That's the statement of the great mint..." you know the rest. Anyway, then this week I started to see this commercial.
I really only like it because it's pretty much the perfect advertisment for both sides. Chris Brown's single is getting stuck in everyone's head and he brings a good amount of attention to the product. Win, win. (Yes I'm analyzing a gum commercial).
The song lyrics were changed just a bit to add more about the gum. But subtract the words gum and mint and it's no longer the jingle now stuck in your head.

Target College 08
I have a lot of favorite commercials. I figure since there are so many of them, I might as well try to enjoy them.
This one I like is from Target. Although, I have to say, I have never walked into a dorm room that looked that nice--no matter how many dollars worth of Target products that was put into it--so I must take off some points for their bending of reality.
Commercial song: 'Calabria 2008' by Enur (feat. Natasja)
And in case you're like me and are wondering where that name (Natasja) is from. After some Google-ing, I found that it is Italian and means 'Christ's birthday'. It is a form of Natasha...which I'm sure we all could have guessed.
